You DO NOT have to be a professional artist to put the arts in your classroom.
Think of the ART as another way to teach the same standards you have to teach.

NOTE: The main ART of this site is Theater Arts (specifically melodrama), but we know not everyone wants to perform, much less in over-the-top scenes. That's why I asked artists in other art forms to share their thoughts.
ENHANCE lessons with art!
Use our pre-written scripts in the classroom to REINFORCE what you already have to teach.
Your role is the teacher/director. You tell the students what scripts they can use.
INFUSE lessons with ART!
You provide the prompt for script and model how to write a one-page script. Infusing is creating space for your students to make creative choices, but you are still directing the group toward a final product. We can't be there with you, but we will demonstrate the art step-by-step, and you can join in when you're creatively inspired.
INTEGRATE -- Students Take Centerstage with ART!
Students engage in the creative process to demonstrate their understanding of the content you wan them to learn. They create the entire scene from script to performance.
